Crisis Communications is a 5-module online course designed and delivered by GCSI that teaches participants how to respond in a crisis as a government communicator.

Learning objectives

By completing this course, you’ll:

  • know some of the strategies you can use to respond to and communicate with citizens during a crisis
  • understand how to apply communications principles in real-life situations
  • gain valuable insights into each step of the process, from first response to recovery and assessment

We work in partnership with the Government Communication Service International (GCSI) team to offer online modular courses to GCS members.

Modules are released week by week and you can finish them at your own pace provided this is within the timeframe allowed for the whole course.
