Overview

In this course you will learn from experts across government how to recognise, analyse and counter mis- and disinformation with an effective communications response. 

Understanding Mis- and Disinformation is a 6-module online course that increases capacity to recognise and counter both disinformation and misinformation. The recommended time required is 2-3 hours per module.

The course:

  • Provides participants with proven tools, processes and behaviours to identify and counter both disinformation and misinformation
  • Is based on the UK Government’s counter-disinformation RESIST toolkit
  • Includes discussion boards that give participants the ability to interact and learn from their peers
  • Is highly interactive with participants learning from disinformation experts within government who share their experiences via information case studies
