The Digital Centre of Expertise brings together digital experts from across Whitehall to carry out activity on behalf of the Government Communication Service.

We will coordinate and work across departments to ensure consistency of approach and the highest standards.

Major announcements

We offer support for departments, which can take the form of planning and preparation as well as delivery of the activity and post-activity analysis and evaluation. It could include the provision and embedding of digital specialists from other departments to help with priority events.


We will deliver insight related to government digital communications activity.

We will understand and apply latest tools and techniques in the rapidly moving digital world to help communications teams make maximum impact.

Digital Capability

We will identify training needs for GCS members and work with Civil Service Learning and the GCS Professional Development Team on designing courses.
