Welcome to the beta version of the new GCS website. It is a resource for you to help you solve the communication challenges we face, and learn about the profession and its work in the UK and around the world.
On the new site, you’ll find examples of excellent communication practice, with effective campaigns that demonstrate how great comms is also efficient – you can see the return on public investment.
We are adding new content and have redesigned our pages. We’ve also made the site far better for viewing on your mobile or tablet. It employs adaptive technology so you can now get the most out of GCS across a range of devices, in the office, at home and on the go.
This is a public beta test i.e. a fully working website, one that the GCS team will seek to refine and improve based on feedback from you, the user.
Any site can only be as good as its content – that’s where you, the GCS Community, come in; share your news and events with the team, blog for GCS and of course tell us what you think of the new GCS website.
This site has been developed in-house, and based on user feedback, the new design surfaces more of the content you want on the Homepage – News, Events, Blogs and Jobs are all featured and readily accessible.
Look out for further iterations including a new People Finder tool – no more spreadsheets, but a simple, easy to use digital tool to search key communications contacts across departments. The team are also exploring options to provide a new community space where members can exchange ideas and work collaboratively on projects.
