Congratulations to the GCS Internship team and all our brilliant interns for winning 'highly commended' in the PRCA and PRWeek PR Internships Awards 2018
Special congratulations to Selina Khan, who won the Best Intern award. This is a huge achievement and reflective of all her hard work for the team – as PRCA Director General, Francis Ingham, said, her “trophy [is] extremely well deserved.”
The GCS Internship Team also won “Highly Commended” at the same awards in recognition of the GCS Internship programme.
The purpose of the GCS Internship is to give students from diverse backgrounds at university level an insight to what a career in government communications is like. This year, the GCS Internship team have expanded the scheme, improving outreach and doubling places from 24 to over 50 in 20 departments and agencies.
We would also like to welcome to our new interns who have joined the GCS over the summer. This is the third cohort of interns to join the GCS so far. To find out more about the GCS Interns and their experiences of their induction day, read the GCS blog.
