After a rigorous search for interns and a record-breaking number of applications, GCS has welcomed 71 interns for 6 - 12 week placements across 25 government departments and agencies.
In an event held at Admiralty House, Executive Director Alex Aiken welcomed the new cohort of interns and wished them well in their placements.
Poli Stuart-Lacey, Director of communication at HMRC, kick started the day with her inspiring journey to Director of communication. This was followed by interactive sessions from a range of communication disciplines and communications professionals across government. Many thanks to our speakers, Aine Collins, Amelie Greckie, Jan Nixon, Oliver Lamb and Briony Biddle, who hosted engaging sessions and gave our interns real insight into the world of government communication.
Interns took part in a Q&A session with past interns. A big thank you to Urvi Ramanuj, Selina Khan, Tanaye Reid, Jake Rodd, Travis Yearwood, Lauren Roberts and Varun Narayanan for sharing their experiences on the internship.
We wish our interns the best of luck with their time at GCS.
