Congratulations to the Civil Service Communications team in Cabinet Office Communications, winners of June’s GCS Campaign of the month competition for their work on the ‘Here For You’ campaign.
The campaign aimed to showcase the great work of civil servants during the Coronavirus (COVID-19) response. The team also wanted colleagues to feel proud to be a part of the Civil Service.
The team implemented their no-cost campaign activity on social media and worked with a range of government departments and arms length bodies (ALBs) to create case studies of how their department had fed into the COVID-19 response. In total, the team created 119 unique pieces of case study content in collaboration with 33 government departments and ALBs.
The campaign had great results including 7.5 million social media impressions, up 2,354% from the previous 30 days, and a total of 160,000 engagements.
Judges commented that they were impressed by ‘the human, emotional pull part of the campaign’ and ‘the very strong outcomes in terms of percentage uplifts across the metrics’. The judges also commented that the campaign ‘brought together many departments and ALBs contributing in a single endeavour’ and commended the team for being able to do this.
Congratulations to the team:
- Imogen Findlay
- Helen Card
- Ben Dance
- Paul Mayes
- and everyone across the Civil Service who contributed content for this campaign
