Government Communications Apprenticeship 2025: Apply today!

The award-winning Government Communications Advance Apprenticeship is now open for applications from Monday 7 April 2025 until Friday 25 April 2025.

The Advance Apprenticeship programme aims to bring talented people with a strong communications interest into government roles they might not have previously considered.

This includes school leavers, those with degrees that are not in communications related subject areas and those who are considering a career change at any point. Put simply, this programme is directly relevant for anyone considering a career in government communications at any age and stage of their working lives.

To be eligible you must:

  1. Have 5 GCSEs at grades 4-9 (A*-C) or equivalent including English and Maths
  1. Have the equivalent of 2 A-levels achieved by September 2025
  2. Not be in full-time education
  3. Not already hold a level 4 qualification, including a degree, in a communications-related field
  4. Have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom
  5. Not be enrolled on any other apprenticeship
  6. Have been living in the EEA, Switzerland, the UK or Gibraltar for at least the last 3 years before starting an apprenticeship

There are 22 places available in locations across England. These locations are: Birmingham, Bristol, Coventry, Durham, Exeter, Leeds, Lichfield, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Plymouth, Portsmouth, York.
